Quikmount makes laminating
easy. Just follow a few simple steps: |
| |

1. Insert the hubs
into the laminate
core (all laminate rolls have
3" cores) |

| |
2. Shafts lift
easily out of channels,
so laminate rolls can be changed
quickly. Collars keep the rolls
in place on the shaft. |

3. Two pulleys
(one is hidden in
the photo) and a belt drive
the take up shaft

| |
4. Two knobs set
the height and
pressure of top roller (it is easy
to set the pressure properly)
Accepts boards up to 1" thick.

| |
5. Thread liner
paper (from front
shaft) between the rollers. This
will keep the laminate from
sticking to the rollers while
laminating.

| |
6. Tape release
paper (from
back of laminate) to core
on take up shaft.

| |
7. Thread laminate
through
rollers.

| |
8. Run your print
through
the rollers.

After the print exits out the
back, go to the back of the laminator, cut off the laminate,
trim and you have a perfectly laminated print. You can then
simply run through the next print without going through any more
set up since the laminate and liner paper are already threaded
through the rollers.

Cold Laminates |

Daige carries a full line of cold laminates in three
finishes: gloss, luster or matte. Gloss is normally used
when you need to add glossiness to your finished print.
Luster, the most popular finish, is used indoors to
eliminate glare and provides a very natural look. Matte is
used when you want to tone down the finish. Available in
25", 38", 51" and 54" widths.

Apply mounting adhesive |
| |
Place a roll of mounting adhesive on the back shaft (for
most adhesives you do not need the take up shaft). Run your
board through to apply adhesive. It comes out with a release
paper covering the adhesive on the board so you can use it
at any time.

Mount prints to boards |
| |
Pull
back the first two inches of the release liner covering your
board or media to expose the adhesive. Position your print
on the board, then rub down the first two inches to the
exposed adhesive.
Place the board/print into the Quikmount rollers, drape the
print over the top roller (as shown in photo) and run it
through the rollers. You get a smooth mount every time.
